Attendance

Thank you parents for getting your child to school everyday and on time! Last year Motley Elementary was the 2nd highest ranking elementary school in the district! This is because you know Attendance Matters! Help us make it to #1 this year by scheduling appointments on days off or as close to the end of the day as possible!

Please be sure to get your child to school on time every day.
Breakfast ends at 7:40am.
School Starts at 7:45am.
The Tardy bell rings at 7:50am.
Dismissal bell rings at 3:20pm.
If your child wishes to have breakfast at school, they must arrive before 7:40am.
If your child receives 4 tardies, they will be assigned a detention.

NEW THIS YEAR: Attendance bag tags for perfect attendance for nine weeks, monthly attendance parties and Perfect Attendance medal for perfect attendance for the whole year!

Morning & Afternoon Motley Procedures

Morning Procedures:


  • Front doors open at 7:15am.
  • Playground doors open at 7:30 (all Pre-K must enter on the playground side)
  • Breakfast is served from 7:15am-7:40am and is free for all students.
  • Parents must remain in their car while dropping off their child on the 1st day of school.

Afternoon Procedures:


  • School dismisses at 3:20pm.
  • Please follow the traffic patterns and hang car tags from the rear view mirror each day, to help dismissal run smoothly.
  • Parents must remain in their car while picking up their child. If walking up, please remain on grass. Do not approach teacher at dismissal. Student will be sent to you.
  • PK-4th grade students are dismissed from the playground side of the building.
  • 5th grade students are dismissed from the front of the building by the flagpole.
 

Technology Insurance Fee

The $20 Technology Insurance Fee must be paid for each child by September 4th, 2026. If Insurance fee is not paid you will be charged the full cost of repair. After the initial repair, parents will be charged the full cost of the Chromebook repair each time.

Visitors Check-In at Front Office

All visitors are required to check-in at the front office. Please be sure to have your ID or DL available when ringing the video intercom. It is required throughout the district to show your ID or DL on the video intercom prior to entering the building.
 

Lunch Visitors

Our campus continues to welcome our parents to visit during lunch time. Due to limited space, we will allow one parent per student to eat in cafe. Parents will not go to recess. No other visitors allowed, including younger siblings. Parent must bring their ID/DL to check in at the front office. Adult meal price is $5.00.

  • Monday - Kindergarten Visitors
  • Tuesday - 1st Grade Visitors
  • Wednesday - 2nd Grade Visitors
  • Thursday - 3rd/4th Grade Visitors
  • Friday - 5th Grade Visitors

We will not accept or deliver any fast food or outside food to your child or to their classroom.
***No lunch visitors will be allowed for the month of August***
 

Motley Houses

Four crests with animal symbols and text, each on a different colored background.
We will sort our new students the 1st week of school! Please encourage your child to wear house shirt/house colors on Fridays. We will have specific dress up days for our house celebrations and 9 week assemblies where we recognize top scorers! Congrats to Coraggio house who won the last 9 weeks! Encourage your child to earn points for courage, respect, manners, grit, and academics.
 

School Cafe

Free breakfast and lunch is provided to all students daily. Please make sure you take advantage of this great resource and arrive early. You may login to School Cafe to add money to your child's lunch account if your child wishes to purchase additional snacks or to view school menu.
