Free Breakfast and Lunch for All MISD Students

Through a waiver from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Mesquite ISD will provide free breakfast and lunch to ALL STUDENTS throughout the 2021-2022 school year. As always, extra items outside the standard meal will also be available for purchase. The district is thankful that the federal government has allowed us to extend these benefits for this year at no cost to the district or our students’ families.

Although a completed free or reduced-price meal application is not required to receive these meal benefits, Mesquite ISD encourages all families to complete an application this year. Families who qualify may receive the following benefits:

  • P-EBT funds for summer months if you apply by August 26, 2021, and are approved for free or reduced-price meals
  • reduced/waived SAT/ACT fees
  • college application fee waivers
  • discounts on internet access
